IELTS is an English Language Proficiency test, which is recommended for international students
for study in countries where the medium of instruction is English. Among the popular study
destinations universities in UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada accept IELTS. American institutions,
however, prefer TOEFL and most of them do not accept IELTS for admission. Similarly, it has become a mandatory
test for study in Australia, Australian and Canadian Immigration. An Australian student visa is not
issued without a valid IELTS score. Australia visa authorities do not prefer TOEFL. More or less all other
study destinations accept both tests. |
